Privacy Policy
Effective September 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Dorio (“Dorio,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit dorio.ai, join our waitlist, or use the Dorio application (together, the “Service”).
Information we collect
- Information you give us. Your email address, your name if you provide it, your firm’s name and type, and anything you enter into the Service — including portfolio holdings, valuations you set, notes, uploaded spreadsheets, and forwarded investor updates.
- Account and connection data. If you connect a third-party service such as Carta, we store the access credentials needed to sync your data and the data returned by that service.
- Automatically collected data. Log data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps; and cookies strictly necessary to keep you signed in and secure the Service.
- Third-party company data. The Service enriches your portfolio with information about companies and investors from commercial data providers and public sources.
How we use information
- To provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service, including generating valuations, predictions, briefs, and prospect rankings for your workspace.
- To communicate with you about your account, the waitlist, and material changes to the Service.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
We use AI models, including models operated by third-party providers, to process content in the Service (for example, to synthesize investor updates and write briefs). We contract with providers on terms that prohibit them from training their models on your content.
Your workspace data is private to your firm
Portfolio holdings, valuations you set, notes, updates, and prospects are visible only to members of your firm’s workspace. We do not sell your data, and we do not share one firm’s workspace data with another.
How we share information
- Service providers that host infrastructure, send email, process payments, or run AI models on our behalf, bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Data providers receive only the identifiers needed to look up companies (for example, a company name or identifier) — never your valuations, notes, or ownership data.
- Legal. When required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Dorio, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account or waitlist entry is active and as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You may delete your workspace data from Settings at any time, and you may ask us to delete your account.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls scoped to each firm’s workspace, and secure credential storage for connected services. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. You may unsubscribe from non-essential email at any time.
International transfers
We are based in the United States and process information there and in other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Children
The Service is for business users and is not directed to anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here and update the effective date; material changes will be communicated to account holders.
